Shooting for fun!

So my friend, Loren, called me up and wanted to go shooting. He is in a photo class in town and wanted to learn more about his camera and getting down the different uses of the shutter speed, ISO and the aperture. We went out to the beach and just started shooting fun and random things. He has a lot of this down, so it was more like fine tuning what he already knew.
We worked on shooting shallow depth of field controlled by your aperture.

Using lighting direction creates great light on different objects including textured objects.

And of course, taking beautiful shots of an incredible sunset. I just can't get enough of any sunset, and two top it off, right on the beach. I am sooooo blessed to live in Santa Barbara!!

Considering how hectic things get, how theraputic is it to just 'go out shooting'?? ...and to share knowledge with another photographer...how great is that?? yes, you are blessed to live in Santa Barbara!!
