JD and Page had an awesome idea. They decided to take all their close friends and family and go wine tasting all day after their ceremony. It was an incredibly beautiful day in Santa Barbara. Page walked down the isle to the Top Gun theme song and then they said their "I do's" at the
Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. After the ceremony, we all hopped on a bus to head out to the wine country. What a fun group of people! Singing on the bus, telling fun stories from the past of the bride and groom.
The first stop was
Foxen Vineyard, where the tastings included:
2004 Chenin Blanc, 2006 Chardonnay, 2006 Pinot Noir, 2004 Cuvee Jeanne Marie and a 2003 Foothills Reserve.
Next we went to
Cottonwood Canyon. We actually went inside a cave to enjoy the wine tasting and h'orderves. The tastings included: 2000 Estate Chardonnay, 2001 Barrel Select Chardonnay, 2000 Estate Pinot Noir, 1995 Estate Pinot Noir and a 2001 Syroir.
Our last stop was at
Curtis Winery. The featured wines were: 2005 Viognier, 2006 Heritage Blanc, 2006 Heritage Rose, 2004 The Crossroad Grenache and a 2004 Syrah.
For the evening we enjoyed dinner at Acapella Restaurant while enjoying music from
Guitar Romantica. They ended the evening with dancing and eating cake from
Anna's Bakery.
